In July 2020, CPCS MENA initiated a joint project with the University of Jordan's Centre for Strategic Studies (CSS), to support economic development and coexistence in Yemen. This project, which is supported by Germany's Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, will research economy and peace issues in four governorates, and will bring local leaders together to plan for local economic development in a manner that makes communities more resilience to violence. The project will also build the capacity of four Local Yemeni Partner Organisations working on the ground in the target governorates.
